The Yankees are sitting at 37-27. That is 10 games above 500 and 2 games behind the AL East leading Boston Redsox. The Yankees are also leading the AL Wild Card race as of right now. They just took 2 out of 3 against the Mets and have won the first game against the Nationals. [...] We’ve now seen it. The definitive example of why Joba Chamberlain needs to be our 8th inning setup man in the bullpen. There was question on whether or not Andy Pettitte would be able to make his start tonight. However he confirmed yesterday that he will be fine and good to go. I thought that with a hurting Pettitte, this would be a great time to throw Chien Ming Wang back into the rotation for a start [...] Brian Bruney has been put on the DL and will visit Dr. James Andrews regarding his elbow. He came back from the DL, pitched once, and then felt that pain again. In those starts, he pitched a [...] When we signed Mark Teixeira, CC Sabathia, and AJ Burnett and I told you on May 12th we would be under .500 you would of laughed in my face. Welcome to reality. The Yankees have been putrid and so hard to watch, it’s about time someone took responsibility. This time last year the Yankees were [...] The Yankees have faced the Redsox and Rays this year and have not looked good. In fact, the Yankees are a combined 2-8 against those teams. Coming into the season, we all knew that the Redsox and Rays will be the Yankees’ main competition in the AL east. However, the Toronto Blue Jays are in [...] We have all gotten on Alex Rodriguez and CC Sabathia for their big contracts and not producing up to their hype. However last night, these guys delivered. In the top of the first inning, A-Rod had 2 men on and entered the batters box for the first time this season. I was in the car [...] |
